I heard about “The Hour” awhile ago. Hmm, I thought to myself. Mad Men meets the news? Sounds right up my alley.

Now, finally seeing a trailer, my suspicions are confirmed. But just in case the Brits were concerned I wouldn’t like this already tailor-made-for-me show, they threw in a guy with some serious sculpt in his hair being all “Fuck the establishment!” There are few quicker ways to my heart.

So, high hopes for this, which starts on BBC America next month. But I’m trying to measure my expectations since I was so disappointed by The Borgias, the last show I was excited about. Still, that hair.

I keep watching “Pan Am” hoping it will be like this. Instead, it focuses way too much on characters I don’t care about (the blonde sister and the copilot, yawn).

However, I desperately want one of these:

to tote along with my Betty Draper dress like I’m part of the jet set.

But most of all, I just want Mad Men back. Please.

globochem:

I’m just leaving this here.

Presidents Day always brings out the bizarro local commercials, but this one takes the prize. I especially enjoy the just-different-enough KPM version of Snap’s “The Power”.

And the cherry tree chop move. Perfect.
